A science club is an out-of-college-hours club that offers students the chance to do science-related activities that extend and enhance the science they experience in the classroom. Each science club is different, as the club programme reflects the interests of the students, the club organizer and the facilities available. Most clubs use the opportunity to explore areas of science not covered by the curriculum and to give the club members plenty of opportunities to do practical science.
Develop training in scientific method of problem solving.
Promote interest in science and in science and scientific outlook among the pupils.
Promote practical application of science.
Help students conduct more complicated experiments than are permitted in the regular classes.
Identify talented and promising pupils.
Provide opportunities for brining college close to society.
Engage and assist in such other activities, to make science popular among the mass amount of people.
The vision of the Science club is to encourage more and more students to participate in regional, national and international-level science exhibitions so as to expose them to various ideas and technology used in scientific models. This can encourage them to provide solutions for the dwindling energy resources by providing an alternative source etc.
Students are encouraged to make models and perform experiments as per their interests, under the guidance of the teachers and the senior students. The mission of this club is to make students develop their interest in the field of Science and also to provide them a platform to showcase their talent as budding scientists and researchers of the future, and also to awaken the spirit of Science.
